Environmental Impact
ENVIRONMENTAL OBJECTIVES
Our porcelain stoneware is manufactured using sustainable processes that minimise environmental impact, saving energy and natural resources.
We manufacture all our products without the use of harmful or radioactive materials. Our products produce no harmful emissions and will not change the quality of the air. We use recycled packing materials exclusively. Factory energy independence is achieved using heat generated as a by-product of the manufacturing process. All waste material from tile production is recyclable.
We manufacture all our products with materials derived from renewable sources. The composition and production of these products use no toxic, harmful or polluting substances, reducing their impact on the environment throughout their lifespan. There is no release of toxic, harmful, or polluting substances from these materials. We meet the highest standards of quality and environmental regulations and conform to the following certifications:
Building projects with LEED® certification are independently verified as meeting the highest levels of sustainability and performance. A LEED® certified building receives a plaque as a symbol of environmental responsibility, profitability, and health. For environmental assessment, the recycled content of the building materials has been assessed and found to meet LEED® requirements

The EU Ecolabel can help you identify products and services that reduce environmental impact from initial raw material extraction to their final use and disposal. This voluntary label promotes sustainable and dependable environmental excellence throughout Europe. Building products such as porcelain tiles used for walls and flooring, both for residential and public use, are eligible for certification. The commission that oversees the certification system reviews the environmental impact of the entire production cycle, from quarrying raw materials to manufacturing, distribution, installation, and the final disposal. In all our factories, the products are produced in a way consistent with the Ecolabel certification and conform to the European Community standard.
BREEAM® (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method) is designed by the BRE as a cost-effective method for evaluating sustainable developments. In addition, it helps investors, developers, designers, and construction teams utilise natural resources with higher efficiency. Environmental characteristics were evaluated and found in accordance with requirements for recycled material for BREEAM® assessment criteria.
To promote continuous improvement in our factories’ environmental performance and publish an environmental statement, we have implemented an environmental management system in compliance with EMAS Regulations. An accredited environmental auditor undertook verification of the environmental management system and validation of the environmental statement.
